This brooch features a motif of Kai-no-Kuchi.
Kai-no-Kuchi (literally “clam’s mouth”) is a traditional way of tying the obi, the belt worn with kimono or yukata.
Known for its simple and practical shape, this knot has long been used by both men and women.
This brooch is made using Chichibu Meisen, a traditional silk textile. The fabric is still produced today and has been officially recognized as a Traditional Craft of Japan.
Add a small touch of Japanese elegance and tradition to your everyday outfit.
