木版染めで制作した、和同開珎柄のティーセットです。
ポットマット1枚とコースター2枚のセットで、日常のひとときを彩ります。

和同開珎は飛鳥時代に作られた、日本で初めて広く流通した貨幣といわれています。
武蔵国秩父郡（現在の埼玉県秩父市）で高純度の銅が産出され、元号が「和同」と改められ、唐の「開元通宝」を手本に鋳造されたと伝えられています。
銅が採掘された場所の近くには、現在も銭神様として親しまれている聖神社や、和同開珎のモニュメントがあります。

本品は、手彫りで制作した木製スタンプを用い、一つひとつ布に捺印した後、型染めで色を重ねて仕上げています。
古銭の鋳造ならではの、わずかな線のゆがみも大切に再現しました。
ポップな色使いの中に、日本の歴史を感じられる一品です。

木版染めの歴史は古く、現在でもインドなどで伝統的な染色技法として受け継がれています。

素材には、環境に配慮した無漂白コットンを使用しています。
日常使いにはもちろん、お土産や贈り物にもおすすめです。

A tea set featuring a Wado Kaichin motif, created using traditional woodblock printing.
This set includes one pot mat and two coasters, adding a touch of charm to your everyday moments.

Wado-Kaichin is one of the earliest coins widely circulated in Japan.
According to historical records, high-quality copper was discovered in Chichibu in 8th century, Wado-Kaichin coins were minted.

This is individually printed using a hand-carved wooden stamp, then dyed using a traditional stencil-dyeing process.
The slight irregularities in the lines intentionally recreate the natural character of cast ancient coins.
With its bright colors and historical motif, this piece combines a playful design with a touch of Japanese history.

Woodblock printing has a long history.
The technique is still practiced today as a traditional textile craft.

The fabric is made from environmentally friendly unbleached cotton.
