ポストカードにプリントされているものは、1927年創業、秩父銘仙の老舗工場「逸見織物」の銘仙です。
銘仙の最盛期は秩父だけでなく、伊勢崎、足利、桐生、八王子などでも銘仙は作られていました。
しかし生産量は衰退し、銘仙の製造業者は全国でたった1件になった時代があります。
それが逸見織物です。
銘仙の製造を続け、技術提供を行い、今では数件の銘仙製造工場が秩父地方で稼働しています。

The images printed on the postcard are Meisen from "Hemi Orimono", which is a long-established Chichibu-Meisen factory founded in 1927.
During the heyday of Meisen, it has been made not only in Chichibu but also in Isesaki, Ashikaga, Kiryu, Hachioji, and other areas.
However, there was a time when the production declined and there was only one Meisen factory in the whole country.
That is "Hemi Orimono".
It has continued to make Meisen and provided own Technique to others.
Then now, several Meisen factories have been operating in Chichibu area.
