【木版染め】和同開珎・巾着袋3枚セット / Ancient Japanese Coin Pattern Pouches (Set of 3)

木版染めの技術を用いた、和同開珎柄の巾着袋3枚セット。
古銭「和同開珎」をカラフルに染めました。
和同開珎は、日本で初めて広く流通した貨幣です。
飛鳥時代に武蔵国秩父郡（現：埼玉県秩父市黒谷）で、日本で初めて純度の高い銅が産出し、朝廷に献上されました。
それを祝い元号を「和同」とし、唐の開元通宝お手本にして和同開珎を製造したと言われています。
採掘現場周辺は現在、銭神様と親しまれる「聖神社」と和同開珎のモニュメントがあります。

この巾着袋は、手彫りで作った木製スタンプで１つ１つ捺印し、その後１つ１つ型染めしています。
和同開珎の書体や大きさ、古銭の鋳造特有の線のゆがみを大切に再現しました。
ポップでカワイイ色使いですが、歴史を楽しめる、手の込んだ巾着袋です。

木版染めの歴史は長く、紀元前のインドから世界中へ広まったと言われています。
現在でもインドでは、伝統技法として盛んに行われています。
木版染めに更に型染めを施す技法は、鍋島藩（佐賀県）の木版摺更紗が有名です。

素材は、環境に優しい無漂白のコットンです。
サイズの違う3枚の巾着袋のセットなので、荷物整理に便利です。

L：コップを入れるには、やや大きいです。オヤツも一緒に入れると良さそうです。
M：コップが丁度良く入ります。
S：コップは入りません。キャンディなど小さなお菓子を入れるのに良さそうです。

This is a set of three pouches with the pattern of ancient Japanese coins "Wadokaichin".
They are colorfully printed with the woodblock print technique.

The Wadokaichin was the first widely circulated coin in Japan.
In 708, high purity copper was produced in what is now Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture.
This was the first time in Japan.
The Imperial Court was pleased to receive the copper and created the coin Wadokaichin.
The area around the copper mining site is now home to Hijiri Shrine, which is the god of coins, and a monument to the Wadokaichin.

These pouches are colorful and pretty, but they respect history and are made with a lot of care.
The wooden stamp used is hand engraved.
It reproduces the font and size of the Wadokaichin, as well as the distortion of the lines characteristic of ancient coins.
The stamp is used to carefully print the shape of the Wadokaichin onto the cloth, one by one.
The coins are then individually stenciled.

Woodblock printing has a long history.
It is believed that the technique spread from India to the rest of the world in BC.
Even today, block-printed cloth is still actively produced in India as a traditional technique.
The technique of further stencil printing after block printing is well known as 'Mokuhanzuri Sarasa' in Saga Prefecture.

The material of these pouches are made from environmentally friendly unbleached cotton.
This set of three pouches in different sizes is convenient for organising your belongings.

L: Too big to hold a cup. Better to put snacks in with it.
M: Fits a cup well.
S: Impossible to hold a cup. Better to hold candies.
